This one day course is designed for all staff who may be appointed as an Authorised Person, Responsible Person, Nominated Person or Competent Person.  Following on from previous appropriate training the course focuses on the managerial role of those responsible for water systems in buildings.



The course provides delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to supervise the staff or contractors employed to look after the water

systems in buildings. This course is particularly beneficial for personnel who have practical experience of combatting Legionella and who wish

to look at the managerial aspects of the Responsible Person’s role.


The course objectives are to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to:


Describe the responsibilities of the responsible person


Implement the legal requirements of the responsible person


Manage the risks using competent personnel


Assess the efficiency of the system records


Assess sampling and record keeping procedures


Ensure compliance for their organisation
