This one day course is designed for all staff who need to be aware of the operation and management of water systems in buildings.  The course will provide delegates with some knowledge about the Legionella bacteria and the skills to apply that insight into managing  building water systems.

The course objectives are to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to:

Understand the occurrence, ecology and transmission of the Legionella bacteria

Identify areas of risk in building water systems where the bacteria can thrive

Understand the legal requirements and other guidance

Be aware of their responsibilities and understand how to manage the risks of Legionella contamination



Awareness of Legionella risk in building water systems -  Intermediate Level (ACoP L8, HSG274 and HTM 04-01)

1-day course

This  one day course covers similar objectives to those for the Awareness course but in more depth. It assumes a higher level of familiarity with the subject and will further enhance delegates’ knowledge and skills in the management of building water systems.
